I have been a loan officer on LendingTree for a little over a year and for the last several months my number of closings has increased almost every month. And this month I am on pace to close almost twice as much as I ever have before! I have found several keys that have helped me succeed as a loan officer on LendingTree. The first key that I have found helpful is to attend as many of the LendingTree seminars and conventions as possible. These seminars have been invaluable in teaching me such things as how to become a better communicator and how to really listen to the needs of the client. At these functions I have received valuable first-hand information from other experienced LendingTree loan officers who were willing to share their keys of success. The LendingTree functions created a sense of excitement that motivated me to try to accomplish goals such as becoming a Gold Leaf Loan Officer. Another key that I feel is important is availability to your clients. Many of our clients do not have much experience with buying a home or obtaining a mortgage, especially online. So I really make it my priority to keep my communication channels open through such things as phone and email.
