Loan Officers' Agree: Sales Rally was a Great Success!

LendingTree would like to thank all of you that participated in the 2006 Loan Officer Sales Rally. Over 150 loan officers came together in Dallas, Texas to learn tools and techniques that would help them stand out from the competition and close more loans. The event focused on providing professional development to loan officers through industry and motivational speakers, sales training and hands on activities.

When surveyed, a resounding 100 percent of participants said they would recommend the Sales Rally to a coworker. The reason? Loan officers cited several memorable moments at this year's Sales Rally. Jim Morris inspired us all with his incredible story of believing in yourself and having the courage to pursue your dreams. LendingTree trainers Jack Robinson and George Gonzales presented an engaging session designed to enhance communication skills. Chip Cummings, a leading industry expert, was a hit providing an insider's look at the sales market and offering his tips for success. And as always, participants loved the opportunity to discuss best practices and learn from one another.

LendingTree takes pride in providing loan officers with valuable training and motivational events. We wish all participants continued success!

You Asked For It: Online Training Is Here!

LendingTree is committed to providing you with the tools necessary to achieve professional success. In response to your requests for convenient, cost effective training, we are pleased to announce the launch of LendingTree University on Demand.

Featuring the latest technology, each customized module will provide training in a concise and engaging format. LendingTree University on Demand will launch in May with two modules designed to help you make the most of the Find A REALTORŪ program. Additional modules in production include "The Loan Officer Commitments" and "The LendingTree Consumer Experience" which will be launched later in Q2.

Watch for the rollout of LendingTree University on Demand in May! Details for participation will be available through your manager. We hope you'll check it out, offer your feedback, and let us know what other topics you'd like to see as part of this exciting new program.


Purchase, Purchase, Purchase!

One look at the market today and it's plain to see that we are now in a purchase environment. The split of volume on LendingTree in 2005 was 64% purchase vs. 36% refinance. The same trend is continuing this year.

While consumer demand is tending to purchase, LendingTree wants to help you make the most of the purchase business. We have implemented several initiatives that we believe will bring additional value to improving purchase results.

Purchase Round Table (PRT) events bring leaders of purchase lenders together to share information on purchase origination. Over the past six months, the Lender Development group has successfully facilitated six PRT events, and we have 10 more scheduled through out the year. Through these events, lenders take away actionable ideas for improving purchase close rates within their organizations.

To bring this concept to loan officers, we have created "Let's Talk Purchase", a scaled down version of PRT. The first session was held during the recent Loan Officer Sales Rally - and it was a big hit for those in attendance.

Beginning in May, "Let's Talk Purchase" will now be offered at every LendingTree University (LTU) Live at no extra charge. Your registration for LTU Live will include a day of professional development and the option for to stay for "Let's Talk Purchase." While we realize that no one has the secret sauce, we know working openly together we can find the right recipe for success!

Apex Tip of the Month - Task Counter

The Task Counter is located below the Quick Search window and is available from any screen in LenderWeb Apex. It provides a snapshot of what tasks are outstanding and what needs to be accomplished over the course of your day.

When a task becomes due or is scheduled for later the same day, the Task Counter will notify you by changing to red for a few seconds. It also updates the number of Overdue (last 7 days) and/or Upcoming Today tasks listed.
