Educate First Time Home Buyers with the Consumer Education Center!

Working with a first-time homebuyer who doesn't have quite a big enough down payment? Don't lose their business – help them and earn their trust. The LendingTree Consumer Education Center (CEC) has a special first-time homebuyers section with articles you can use to close the deal. You can encourage your customer to visit the Education Center, or you can utilize the “E-mail a friend” feature at the top of each page and send the article directly to the consumer yourself!

Here are examples of articles on the CEC site that can help you close the deal with a first-time buyer:

Browse through the CEC often to discover new stories that will help your customers. For example, this month there will be a new story on down payment assistance companies, as well as lots of other useful consumer tips and advice.

Keynote Speaker Announcement for 2nd Loan Officer Sales Rally

LendingTree is pleased to announce that Mike Eruzione, Captain of the 1980 Gold Medal US Olympic Hockey Team, will be the keynote speaker at the 2nd Loan Officer Sales Rally.

Do you remember where you were when the U.S. hockey team beat the Russians in the 1980 Winter Olympics? Most Americans do.

 

Mike Eruzione served as the enthusiastic captain that led the 1980 United States Olympic Hockey Team to its Gold Medal victory at Lake Placid - one of the great moments in sports history and topic of both a 2001 HBO Documentary Film and a 2004 Disney blockbuster movie. The highlight of the games for Eruzione was his winning goal in the “Miracle on Ice” game against the heavily favored Soviet Union in the game that stunned the world. A native of Massachusetts, Eruzione will demonstrate how a winning team can make miracles happen!

LenderWeb Apex Tip of the Month – How do I quickly find a QF?

Quick Search is a new function available from anywhere in LenderWeb Apex. This function is located at the upper right hand corner of the application. There are three basic steps to using Quick Search for locating a QF:

Determine which category you will be searching on. Use the drop down list to scroll to it. Your options are:

▪ Email – make sure to type in the full email address as provided by the customer in the QF.

▪ Last Name, First Name – Enter the customer's full name (e.g. Smith, John). At this time, the system is unable to search based on wildcard characters or partial names. The system is able to search by last name only, however it may take longer to return the search.

▪ QF Number – This is the number assigned to the customer when they complete a qualification form online.

▪ Phone – You are able to use any phone number provided by the customer in their QF, whether work or home number. Quick Search allows you to either enter the phone in 123-456-7890 or 1234567890 format. If you enter the latter, the system will automatically insert ‘-' for you.

▪ Social Security Number - You are able to use either the borrower's or the co-borrower's Social Security Number provided by the customer in their QF. Quick Search allows you to either enter the Social Security Number in a 123-45-6789 or 123456789 format. If you enter the letter, the system will automatically insert ‘-' for you.

b.       Enter the requested data, based on the category you chose.

c.        Click ‘Go'.

Having clicked ‘Go', LenderWeb Apex will search for the QF you have requested. The application will take you into the Lead Management: Work Queue screen with the results (one or more QFs may meet your Quick Search criteria) returned.

 


Which Real Estate Companies Provide Platinum Level Lender Service?

In an effort to identify LendingTree Real Estate Companies which provide superior service to our Network Lenders, LendingTree has implemented a "Lender Platinum Service" designation on the choice page. See the example below.

To receive this platinum service designation, the Real Estate Company has to meet certain customer service criteria (including a 12-hour or less response time and maintaining weekend hours), and agree to a set of service levels when working with Network loan officers (including same business day response to customers and loan officers).

 

ADE Tip of the Month – Holiday Pricing

As the holiday season comes along, things get hectic everywhere. There is so much to do that often times things can slip through the cracks before you realize it. Don't let your ADE pricing be one of them! Be sure that you have a plan in place to make sure that your pricing doesn't expire over the holidays. Just because you are not in the office, doesn't mean you aren't getting leads. Not only are you continuing to get leads, but with a little planning, your consumers are getting back an instant offer, and you can be sure that it's an offer with accurate pricing.
